Unlike Mobile Edge Computers, the RAR4000 is a cost-optimized solution that operates as a pure data router and managed switch. It does not support mesh networking or custom application containers, making it especially suited for environments where performance, simplicity, and reliability are paramount.

Optional Secure Remote Access via VPN is available for protected communication and remote diagnostics.
