Since its founding in 2011, Parametric GmbH, which initially specialized in FPGA and hardware-related software, has developed into a well-known and reliable full-service provider for sophisticated measurement, monitoring and control solutions.
The company launched a Consulting Partner Program and introduced RET Analysis Software for its Real-time Edge Telemetry system, enabling AI-powered pattern detection and risk flagging. Onboard devices capture noise, vibration, temperature, weather and more; an AI recognizes patterns and risks in the cloud; a simple web app turns this into clear, detailed insights - helping make transport safer, more reliable, and more efficient.
PMX Systems AG was spun off in 2023, enabling stronger product focus. Parasigna AG followed in 2024, with a new branch office opened in Bern at Belpstrasse 37 to foster growth and collaboration.
Developed the SBX battery charger for radar sensors and delivered a second project with ABB Australia for Queensland Rail. In 2022 we launched the ALGOL platform, completed our first RET platform project, and relocated our headquarters to Industriestrasse 19 in Wilderswil.
Launched TOPSNAP-LR with its first deployments, moved to Waldeggstrasse 82, conducted our first 5G tests with SBB (SmartRail 4.0), started the EU project "Cloud Based CBTC", developed the TCR sensor, and shipped the second generation of Parabright petrol-station screens. In 2020 we built the RDR RFID reader, expanded our warehouse on Waldeggstrasse, reached 1,500 Parabright DENEB screens in the field, and our service center upgraded 2,000 rail routers to LTE.
We kept growing, expanded our office on Aareckstrasse in Interlaken, and built the PCR radar sensor for Swiss Post. In 2018 momentum increased: the RAR4 software platform went live; 1,000 Parabright DENEB screens were delivered; 3,500 RAR4 units with the first LTE versions were shipped; the PCR2 sensor was developed; satellite payloads were delivered to Lacuna Space; and RAR4 went live for ABB in Adelaide, Australia.
We delivered hardware and software for Swisscom's infrastructure monitoring, shipped the first 1,000 RAR4 hardware units, and developed a LoRaWAN timestamp gateway reference design together with Aartesys for Semtech. In 2016 we brought our display technology to the forecourt with the first rollout of Parabright DENEB petrol-station screens.
We engineered hardware for NEEO's home automation platform, took our first steps in rail technology and defense, and introduced the first RAR4 (3G) installations. In 2014 we moved from Uetendorf to Interlaken and realized our first service-center project: renewing power supplies in building management systems to keep critical infrastructure running.
Founded Parametric GmbH in Seftigen (BE, Switzerland) to provide high-quality R&D services for third parties. By 2012 we were leading complete software projects and formal requirements management, bringing structure and accountability to complex engineering work.
