Parametric GmbH secures Contract with BERNMOBIL for Advanced Noise Optimization Technology

RET Technlogy used to minimize noise in a joint project supported by BAV

Bern, Switzerland - June 11, 2024 - Parametric GmbH is proud to announce that it has secured a contract with BERNMOBIL to equip up to 15 trams in Bern with state-of-the-art RET (Realtime Event Triggered) measurement technology and sensors. These advanced systems will measure noise, position, and 3-axis acceleration with high precision, aiming to optimize noise levels and minimize squeaks as the trams navigate corners.

The contract follows an extensive test period where the RET measurement system and associated sensors were validated in the field to make sure they can reliably deliver the necessary data. Andreas Koschak, Managing Director of Parametric GmbH, remarked, "We are delighted that our technology has proven its value and effectiveness during the test phase."

Parametric works together with project partners BERNMOBIL, PROSE and Substring AG to find ways how to automatically prevent noise and material wear using AI, big data, edge computing and high performance railway compliant measurement technology. This underscores Parametric GmbH's commitment to innovation and excellence in the transportation sector.
